INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Salix Homes’ Social Impact Report for 2021-22, which highlights the difference we’re making and the positive impact we have on our customers and communities in Salford.

We’re about so much more than just providing homes, we deliver services to improve lives and enhance communities and provide support to help our customers to live, grow and thrive.

We work with specialist partner organisations to provide jobs, apprenticeships, training opportunities and support for local people, to help with their personal development and well-being, and we also support projects and initiatives that benefit the wider community.

The past year has been particularly challenging, with the impact of the cost-of-living crisis taking its toll on many of our customers. The challenges facing our communities are growing, making it more important than ever that social value plays a crucial part of our business activity, ensuring we can make a significant impact on our communities in Salford.

From supporting people into employment, clamping down on anti-social behaviour, and tackling fuel poverty through building eco-friendly homes, this report provides a snapshot of our success stories over the past year and the difference we have made.
