Delivering on our promises
This year marks the conclusion of our five-year corporate plan, Let’s Grow Together, and what a five years it has been. We have achieved what we set out to do and more. It is also five years since we became a stand-alone housing association from Salford City Council. Since then we have delivered on a host of promises we made: Our investment in homes has ensured all 8,000+ of our homes meet and exceed the decent homes standard; We’ve supported 1,268 local people into work and training; customers have been placed firmly at the heart of how we are governed, and we’ve donated £140,000 to hard-working community groups through our Springboard Fund.
This year we have been putting the final touches to those promises as well as turning our mind to the future. Building safety is a huge priority for us and I’m proud that we are leading the way nationally. The launch of the Salix Homes Customer Committee marks the dawn of a new era for us, with customers in the driving seat. Whilst this annual review brings this chapter of our journey to an end, our future promises even more for the communities we serve.
